The applicant acquired and demolished a previous big box retail store located at 695 Merrick Avenue, to develop an approx. 400,000 SF 7 Story building on 5,876 acres. The new building would consist of a hotel, rental apartments and a small piece of retail space for a restaurant. There will be a total of approximately 237 units, which would primarily be two bedroom units. This will also create approximately 345 construction jobs during the construction phase of the project. There will be approximately 27 studio hotel rooms. The apartment units consist of 80 1 bedroom units, 78 2 bedroom units, and 34 3 bedroom units.
